Tips for your application:

  1. Defining your career aspirations. Simple, but not easy: What do I want to be?

  2. Did you define your career aspirations? Then make a schedule for yourself: Apprenticeships at OKS usually start in August each year. We recommend that you apply one year before you wish to start your apprenticeship. Preferably with your current summer school report. If you can not find any current vacancies, we would also be happy to receive your unsolicited application!

  3. Now it’s getting serious: writing/creating the application: first of all – the application is your business card, i.e. the first impression you leave with us. We would like to know from you why you are interested in the chosen apprenticeship and why you are the right apprentice for us. Describe to us everything that represents your personality.

A little more concrete:

Tips for your cover letter: Formulate all contents briefly and meaningfully. Make sure you use the right contact person, correct spelling and grammar, the current date and your signature. One page is sufficient for the cover letter in any case.

Tips for your CV:  Your CV should contain your personal data in a clear, chronological and complete form as well as information on your school education or – if you already have it – your vocational training. This is also the place to mention your previous internships and your language skills (possibly including any stays abroad). Your previous holiday jobs also count and provide important plus points!

An application photo is not obligatory – but it strengthens the first impression:
You can include your application photo either in the cover letter or in your CV. In any case, it should be a recent photo of you – a professional application photo naturally scores more points than a selfie from your last party night.

  1. Are the documents complete and ready to send? Check once again whether you have thought of everything. Are you satisfied – then send us your written application documents by post or by e-mail.

  2. Prepare for the interview. If you have received an invitation to an interview, you should prepare well for it. Find out more about OKS and your desired apprenticeship. Become aware of your personal motivation and where your own strengths lie. And – very important: play through such a conversation with someone. You will notice: it is relaxing!
